a renegade. And so when you have that attitude, you don’t 
have a responsible leadership attitude.

We often talk about the fact an officer’s commission 
essentially means, whether you’re a lieutenant or 
a lieutenant general, you should be trusted and 
trustworthy. It seems like you’re talking about a code 
that helped make people in those days worthy of trust 
that people put in them.
