1 January 26th is Australia’s official national holiday. It marks
the day that the first ships landed in Sydney Cove in 1788.
On that day, the prime minister makes a special speech on
the TV and people set fireworks off in the evening.
2 Boxing Day in the UK is the day after Christmas Day and so is
the 26th of December. It is a public holiday and in the UK it
is common for sports events to take place.
3 Groundhog Day is a traditional festival that is celebrated
in the United States and Canada on February 2nd. A
