1. Abbess- a woman who is the superior of a convent of nuns
2. Arbitrary - based on random choice or personal whim, rather than any reason or system
3. Appeared-give a certain impression or have a certain outward aspect
4. Antebellum-beloging to a period before a war especially the American Civil War
5. Arguably-capable of being supported by argument
6. Distinguish-detect with the senses
7. Comedy - a literary work that is written to amuse or entertain a reader.
8. Endeavor - try hard to do or achieve something .
9. Essayist-a writer of literary work
10. Exploitation-an act that exploits or victimizes someone
11. Interelatoin - the state of things being closely connected to each other and maybe affecting each other.
12. Irony - situation in which there is a contrast between expectation and reality.
13. Plot - structure of interrelated actions, consciously selected and arranged by the author
14. Puritan - relied on a religious, rather than an entertainment, theme.
15. Prevail -to gain ascendancy through strength or superiorit
16. Pose- present or consititute(a problem or danger).
17. Sanity - to the soundness, rationality, and health of the human mind, as opposed to insanity.
18. Slapstick - comedy based on deliberately clumsy actions and humorously embarrassing events.
