INTRODUCTION (abstract of Ph.D. thesis)
The aim of the research work. It consists of disclosure of the stages of development and social character of the Oxus civilization on the basis of the written and archaeological sources.
The object of the research is included archeological monuments that the first urban cultures and civilizations were formed, or more accurately Djarkutan, Sapallitepe, Dashli, Gonur, Togolok, Altyn Depe, Shahdod, and scientific literature that were devoted to the study of these monuments.
The scientific novelty of the research work is as follows:
Archaeological, chronological, dynastic, and formation methods are compared in the periodization of the history of Uzbekistan and, the acceptability of a civilizational approach that is being demonstrated the evolutionary development of social and material life, clearly revealed the role of the people masses in these processes has been based;
The material and social features of the Oxus civilization have been identified, its distinctive features that were distinguished from the civilizations of the Ancient East, especially, using large bricks for the building of houses, palaces, and temples in architecture, using the three-row defensive walls were built in a labyrinthic system in fortification(Sapallitepe, Dashli), the identifying of the tradition of plastering walls and making floors from a mass prepared by adding gypsum, soil, and straw, technically radically dissimilar methods of making jewelry, as well as, sexual differentiation, the adoption of constant innovations in the treatment of corpses have been revealed based on a comparative comparison.
The role of local roots and migrations had been played a major role in the gradual development of the Oxus civilization, reclamation of Murgab, Surkhandarya, Dashli, Vakhsh, and Kofarnihon oasis during the end of the 3rd millennium BC-2nd millennium BC and the population has created a unique high material culture, Local roots of the Oxus civilization were formed in Altyn Depe and a number of other monuments of southern Turkmenistan have been proven.
The wide prevalence of material writing among the inhabitants of the Oxus civilization from 1600-1500 BC, is based on the fact that the writing system was formed in the Bronze Age in Central Asia on the basis of pictographic symbols that were found from the Dashtli region of northern Afghanistan, Namazgah VI in the Akhaltekin and Murgab oasis of southern Turkmenistan and the monuments of Sapallitepe (29 characters), Djarkutan (52 characters), Arabulak, Tillabulak and Gaz in southern Uzbekistan.
