Subjects of the research: Bilateral relations between Uzbekistan and France.
Purpose of work: Studying the main directions and results of Uzbek-French relations at the present stage, and determining the prospects for their development.
The methods of research: historical, systematic analyses and scientific prediction have been applied as a methodology. Among the special methods, mainly systematic, comparative and prospective methods of evaluative (predictive) analysis were used.
The results obtained: The analysis shows that Uzbekistan and France are on the path of constructive and intensive development of cooperation, and on the basis of this cooperation there are mutual interests: for Uzbekistan these are broad and multivector issues: social modernization, economic cooperation, industrial development, cooperation on regional issues, cooperation on international arena and within organizations, the use of French experience and investments in various spheres of development of the state and society. The interests of France are determined primarily by the geostrategic position of Uzbekistan, its natural resources and the potential of the transport infrastructure. It was also revealed that for France, Uzbekistan, like the rest of Central Asia, is a new unsaturated alternative market, a new platform for French business structures.
Theoretical and practical value: This paper is useful in the educational processes on a specialty "International Relations", development of textbooks on political science, regional studies and other related disciplines, and for further research to be conducted in Uzbek-French relations.
