  Cardinal numerals predmetning miqdorini ko’rsatib keladi va gapdagi ma’nosi sifat.

  Sonlarni harflar bilan yozishda agar, 3 xonalik son yozilsa, hundred (100) so’zi an keyin
  and so’zini ishlatamiz:
  

400 – four hundred.

1400 – one thousand, four hundred.
401 – four hundred and one.
1401 – one thousand, four hundred and one.
410 – four hundred and ten.
499 – four hundred and ninety-nine.
100 000 talik va 100 000 000 taliklarga xam shu qoida kuchga kiradi:
401.401.401 – four hundred and one million, four hundred and one thousand, four hundred and one.
123.456.789 – one hundred and twenty-three million, four hundred and fifty-six thousand, seven hundred and eighty-nine

  Hundred, thousand, million, etc.… o’zi yakka kelsa a yoki one so’zi ishlatilishi kerak.
  

A hundred = one hundred.

A thousand = one thousand.

  Bundan tashqari a so’zini quyidagicha ishlatsak ham boladi:
  

101 – a hundred one.

103 – a hundred and three..
199 – a hundred and ninety-nine.
1001 – a thousand and one.
1002 a thousand and two.
1099 – a thousand and ninety-nine.

  Bundan boshqa xollarda one so’zi ishlatiladi:
  

1140 – one thousand, one hundred and forty.
