A scenario of the party “Do you know ABC?”
Teacher: Good afternoon, dear guests and welcome to our competition!
Today the pupils of the 2nd grade will compete with each other. There are 10 pupils in each team. The team on my right hand is called “Letters” and on my left hand is “Numbers”
Our competition consists of 6 conditions.

1st condition – Greeting
LETTERS
Pupil 1 :
A is for apples and apple trees
You can see apples on apple trees
Pupil 2 :
B is for books and for bookcase
I have many books in my bookcase
Pupil 3 :
C is for cat . My cat is grey
And with me it likes to play
Pupil 4 :
D is for dog and for Doggy
I have a dog , not a doggy

I is for eight and for eleven
How much is eight and eleven?
Pupil 6 ;
F is for flowers, red and blue
White and yellow and rosy too
Pupil 7:
G is for girl and also for garden
I see a girl going to the garden

H is for hand . I have two hands
This is the way I clap my hands

I is for I. I`m a boy, I`m ten

2nd condition – Balloons
The aim of this condition is in looking for the correct number which is said by the teacher . The numbers are printed and stuck on the balloons. The balloons are spread in the centre of the room.
The participants stay in rows. The teacher says the number and first two pupils run and try to find that number on the balloons. The pupil who brings first and correct number is the winner and gets a point.
3rd condition - Do you know colours?
T he teams stay in rows in font of the blackboard. There is stuck a poster with flies of different colours: blue, red, green, yellow, orange, pink, brown. When the leader says one of the colours the first pupils should swat the fly with that colour. The pupil who swats first is the winner and gets a point for his team.
4 th condition – Funny letters
Participants stay in a circle within their teams. Each participant holds a paper with the letter on it. When the teacher calls a word (e.g. train) pupils – “letters” should stay in appropriate order to make a word. The team which makes a word first and correct is the winner gets a point.
5th condition - Matching
Teacher writes the following sentences on the board beforehand:
She has a nine.
My sister is two pens.
I have Lola.
My name is yellow dress.
His name is Anvar.
The leaders of the teams should match the beginnings and endings of the sentences.
6th condition – Doing crosswords
The teams arrange in a circle to solve the puzzle with the days of the week.
7 th condition - Picture dictation
Participants listen to the teacher and complete the picture of a girl and a boy. The pupils prepare colour pencils or crayons. They should listen and put colour marks. Then they have time to end the painting.
At the end of the competition the judges count the balls and announce the winner team.
