Tashkent State University of Law (TSUL) is a fundamental higher educational and scientific-methodical institution for training legal personnel in Uzbekistan.The history of the university is closely connected with the development of the national law school in our country and the names of prominent lawyers such as Khadija Suleymanova, Hojiakbar Rahmonkulov, Boris Blinder, Georgi Sarkisyans, Anvar Agzamkhodjaev, Shavkat Urazaev, Shoakbar Shoahmedov, Gafur Abdumajidov, Ikrom Zakirov, as well as many other lawyers who have made a great contribution to our national jurisprudence.On August 15, 1991, pursuant to the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers, Tashkent State Institute of Law was exclusively separated from Tashkent State University.By the decree of PP–1990 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on June 28, 2013, Tashkent State Institute of Law was transformed into Tashkent State University of Law.
Tashkent State University of Law trains specialists of Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, doctoral degree and independent researchers.In accordance with the decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan № PF–5987 "About additional measures for cardinal improvement of legal education and science in the Republic of Uzbekistan", the organizational structure of the university was reviewed and new faculties and structural divisions were established.
Currently, there are 4 faculties in Tashkent State University of Law.

The educational process at the university is based on a new system in our country, the credit-module system. The European credit system - ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) was introduced, providing students with the opportunity to choose subjects. Starting from the present 2020/2021 academic year, the admission to Bachelor's and Master's degree programs in the form of distant education is carried out at the University.The University implements joint educational programs, which provide "double degree" education.
