Overall Recommendations
1. It was decided to reintroduce the degree programme in M.Sc. (Hort.)/ Ph.D. (Hort.)
in Post-harvest Management.
2. It was decided to adopt common Academic regulation proposed by the Rani Laxmi
Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi, Madhya Pradesh as presented and
discussed during review meeting during 23–24, April 2019, NASC, New Delhi.
3. It was recommended to have degree nomenclatures in Postgraduate programmes
of Horticulture are as follows.
(a) M.Sc. (Hort.)/ Ph.D. (Hort.) Vegetable Science
(b) M.Sc. (Hort.)/ Ph.D. (Hort.) Fruit Science
(c) M.Sc. (Hort.)/ Ph.D. (Hort.) Floriculture and Landscaping

4. It was also recommended to propose names of department on the same lines to
bring the uniformity among SAU’s, CAU’s, Deemed Universities, etc.
5. It was decided to include common compulsory courses as finalized by other BSMA
Committees for those courses which are common across disciplines.
