Conclusion
By way of conclusion, it should be outlined that there are abundant number of novels in both languages deserving further investigations comparing not only linguistic features but also emotiveness of them, which was aimed in this article. Most readers might not know much about stylistic devices and their usage in literal texts, but they feel the power of word. Inner emotions of personages are being investigated in above mentioned extracts, which reveal that

  • in English as well as in Uzbek novels, writers used stylistic devices as repetition, personification, metaphor and onomatopoeia to convey negative, positive emotions.

  • both authors used stylistics devices to express their ideas and enhance their writing styles.

Stylistic devices helped to highlight the importance of concepts in texts, strengthening the narration, and encouraging readers to imagine the personages and their emotions. Emotional meaning can ber found in language in use only. Thus, a word has a contextual emotive meaning. The context can often show if the word should be taken as an objective expression or if it can arouse emotional meaning. A colourless, everyday term, acquires emotional obertones. Emotive meaning of words plays an important role in stylistics while emotional colouring may be regarded as a stage of emotive meaning. Anything having a strong impact on our senses may be considered as having emotive meaning.
Evaluated meaning is used both in the language as a system and in use. Here words are divided by positive, negative and neutral evaluation. Figurative meaning exists in language in use only. The word "help" was used in its figurative meaning, substituiting the word "resque". The emotive meaning or emotional colouring of a word plays considerable role in stylistics. The emotive meaning of a word can be clearly understood when we compare it with its neutral meaning. Interjections are words we use when we express .our feelings strongly and which may be said to exist in the language as symbols of human emotions. They express such feelings as regret, despair, sorrow, woe, surprise, astonishment etc. They are defined as expressive means of the language. Emotionally coloured features of interjections become of stylistic device.
