STEAM-EDUCATION-SUBJECT LINKS AND PRACTICAL APPROACH


Annotation: STEAM-education is based on science links and a practical approach, this scientific method allows students to carry out project and research activities both during the course and in extracurricular activities. This article highlights the practical significance of the program, its application in research.

Annotatsiya: STEAM-ta’limi fanlararo bog‘lanishlar va amaliy yondashuvga asoslangan bo’lib, bu ilmiy metod o‘quvchilarning loyiha va o‘quv-tadqiqot faoliyatini dars davomida hamda darsdan tashqari ishlarda amalga oshirish imkonini beradi. Ushbu maqolada dasturning amaliy ahamiyati, tadqiqotlarda qo’llanilishi yoritib berilgan.

Аннотация: STEAM-образование основано на междисциплинарных связях и практическом подходе, что позволяет научному методу осуществлять проектную и учебно-исследовательскую деятельность учащихся как во время урока, так и во внеурочной работе. В данной статье освещена практическая значимость программы, ее применение в исследованиях.

It is worth mentioning that the decree of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures to improve the system of public education management” dated 05.09.2018 PD-5538, including the inclusion of the draft resolution of the president of the Republic of Uzbekistan “on approval of the state program of modern school". In this:
- construction of modern schools on the basis of model projects developed using environmentally friendly materials and alternative sources of energy;
- equip schools with new comfortable furniture, modern educational and laboratory equipment, textbooks and teaching-methodical materials, computer and multimedia equipment, video surveillance systems;
- a radical revision of the procedure and system for improving the qualification of managers and pedagogical staff of secondary educational institutions is established, provided for the optimization of educational plans and programs, the broad use of innovative, including distance pedagogical methods, the full improvement of the effectiveness of this process within three months.
Accordingly, presidential schools will be opened in each territory of the Republic with the aim of identifying young people with disabilities. They will specialize in teaching STEAM subjects. STEAM is a new method of teaching children, it is an alternative system to the traditional system of teaching. It is based on the system of teaching children at the same time in Science (Natural Sciences), Technology (Technology), Engineering (Engineering), Art (Art) and Mathematics (Mathematics) pupils take lessons with the help of practical and entertainment project classes.
In many countries, such as the United States, Singapore, Korea, Australia, China, United Kingdom, Israel, state programs in the field of STEAM education are being implemented. In many countries, STEAM education is highly valued for the following reasons:
in the coming years, there will be a sharp shortage of IT professionals, software engineers, engineers, high-tech production specialists and other similar specialties in the world;
in the future, professions that are now difficult to imagine, all of them, in connection with natural sciences, are related to technology, as well as high-tech production. Especially the need for bio - and nanotechnology specialists increases;
future specialists are required to have comprehensive training and have knowledge of various fields of education: natural sciences, engineering and technology.
STEAM-training is based on subject connections and a practical approach. He demonstrates how the scientific method is used in everyday life. STEAM allows pupils to carry out project and research activities both at lesson and outside the lesson.
The main idea of the STEAM approach is as follows: practice is as important as theoretical knowledge. Students are obliged to use not only their own mind, but also their hands in the educational process. The process of learning in the classroom is lagging behind the rapidly evolving changes. The main feature of the STEAM approach is that pupils use both the mind and the hands in the effective learning of most subjects.
In the STEAM learning environment, pupils immediately use the knowledge they possess in practice. For this reason, they understand that when they grow up and reach adulthood, encounter various problems in real life, whether it is environmental pollution, for example, climate change, in order to solve such complex problems, they only have to rely on their knowledge and work collaboratively, which they occupy in different fields of science[1]. In this, it will not be enough to rely only on knowledge within one science. Accordingly, the STEAM approach is not only a teaching methodology, but also a way of thinking.
The development of practical skills of pupils in STEAM education as a result of great attention is paid, their collaborative work, creative ability develops, willpower is strengthened.
Exactly such knowledge and skills are the main task of training, and the whole system of training strives for this.
STEAM was developed in America. Some schools decided to integrate natural sciences, technology, engineering skills, mathematics, following the further activities of their graduates, so that the STEM (Science, Technique, Engineering and Math) system emerged. Later on it was added Art (Art), now it is formed by the end of STEAM. Teachers believe that the knowledge gained from these disciplines will help the pupils to grow into high-skilled professionals in the future. As a result, children try to acquire knowledge and immediately apply them in practice.
STEAM training teaches you to master the acquired knowledge with real skills. It does not matter what kind of thoughts the readers think, the main thing is that it allows them to realize their thoughts in reality[2].
In summary, STEAM encourages readers to experiment, design models, create music and movies independently, implement their own ideas and create products. This approach to teaching allows children to effectively master theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
