There are three madrassas in Registan Square: Ulugbek Madrassah, Tillo Kori Madrassah and Sherdor Madrassah.
In Registan Square, marbles are very widely used from carved mosaic panels
Registan Square has its own colorful tile ornaments; It is a unique monument of Central Asian architecture with its ornate roofs and huge domes.
In 2001, the three madrassas were inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.
