SL-T® - a giant step ahead to greener plastic tubes

TUBEX Wasungen GmbH is the only manufacturer in the plastic tube business who produces the SL-T® tube. The SL-T® tube offers up to 40 % material saving compared to a standard extrusion plastic tube. The significant weight saving is the result of the new SL-T® production process. In this production process the shoulder is completely omitted and the cap is welded directly onto the tube body. TUBEX developed especially for this tube a single coloured as well as bi-coloured flip-top cap.

The decoration features the innovative Hybrid print (inline Flexo print and Silkscreen print). The Flexo print is an excellent tool to replicate near photorealistic images. For additional haptical effects and brilliant colour shades the Silkscreen print is used additionally. The usage of especially for this printing technology developed LED varnishes, enables the printing to be energy saving, as there is less curing energy compared to the standard UV curing.
