NTRODUCTION

Digital educational games have created a new perspective for the culture of learning and are closely integrated with the

interests of students. Digital educational games are an innovation in primary education that can enhance children's learning and

skill mastery. Integrating digital educational games into the school environment of primary education can effectively promote the

reform of the education system. Early childhood and elementary school teachers can play a vital role in supporting children's play-

based digital learning (DGBL). Teachers' belief in the use of DGBL is important and often limits their efforts to integrate new

technologies into the classroom. A positive outlook can help teachers more easily reflect DGBL in their teaching methods.

Therefore, any potential innovation in this field will be useless if one does not understand the teachers’ opinions and intentions

regarding the use of DGBL in the elementary education environment. The scope of this chapter is to investigate the pedagogical

dimensions of digital educational games related to elementary education, to study the factors that affect the learning effect in the

game process, to provide valuable information for designers of educational games, and finally to study elementary school teachers’

beliefs in DGBL, and Their confidence in the integration of digital educational games in the classroom.
