Now in it's 8th year, Taste of Kent Narrows draws a crowd of those who love to sample Eastern Shore delicacies from area restaurants. This year we are expecting close to 1,500 people to enjoy all the Eastern Shore has to offer, including food, artisans and entertainment! This year we are looking for creative artist to design the official 2013 T-shirt.

Eligibility: All artists living in Maryland are invited to submit artwork for consideration as the official t-shirt image for the 8^th Annual Taste of Kent Narrows. An application for entry must be submitted by August 15, 2013, followed by digital art submission by September 1, 2013.

Theme or Subject of Entry: Artwork should represent the bounty the Bay has to offer and portray the spirit of the event, including food and the flavor of the Chesapeake Bay Region. Please keep in mind this is a “family friendly” event.

Entry Guidelines: All entries must be submitted digitally in a .jpg or .pdf format and limited to two (2) entries per artist. Only two-dimensional artwork will be considered. All two-dimensional media accepted, including painting, drawing, collage, computer-generated design, etc. The only text on the image should read “2013 Taste of Kent Narrows” and this text MUST be somewhere on the entry. This form and your completed entry form (on following page) must be submitted with or prior to your entry. The Taste of Kent Narrows Committee will retain possession and all legal rights to the winning entry, including all reproduction and photographic rights, with artwork credit for any published use given to the artist.

Adjudication: The Taste of Kent Narrows Committee will narrow down entries to the top five. The Committee will judge entries on innovative handling of the subject, mood, concept, craftsmanship, reproducibility, and adherence to competition guidelines. These five will be on display at the Shore Update’s Good, Better, Best Party at The Jetty on September 12, 2013 where attendees will vote for a winner.

Awards: Recognition as the official 2013 Taste of Kent Narrows Artist at the event and in promotional material; $100.00 cash award; 4 complimentary passes ($120 value) to the festival; complimentary booth/vendor space at the Taste of Kent Narrows ($250 value); and, a link from the Taste of Kent Narrows website to artist’s homepage.

Submissions that do not meet the deadline or technical specifications will be disqualified. Taste of Kent Narrows is not liable for any copyright infringement on the part of the artist.
