Creativity and employability:

According to (Lee, 2019) creativity will be the third-most-important skill for employees by 2020,

behind complex problem-solving and for critical thinking. With the avalanche of novel products,

novel  technologies,  and  novel  ways  of  working,  employees  are  going  to  have  to  become  more

creative in order to profit from these changes. Research by LinkedIn also found that the topmost

skill  companies  need  is  creativity.  In  addition,  with automation  forecasted  to  eliminate  many

repetitive jobs, humans will move up the worth chain and perform out more thoughtful, creative

work.

Companies looking for growth must tap into creative energy. It will become essential to driving

business forward. Creative problem-solving skill will allow teams to generate novelty within the

office in  a  numerous  way—whether  it’s  finding  new  approaches  to  problems  inherent  to  the

business, developing new products or services to fill a hole within the market, or improving upon

existing processes. Creativity will enable employees to  plan ways to deal with their customers’

biggest challenges—while cutting costs and automating repetitive tasks.

Assumed  the  tight  link  between  creativity  and innovation,  organizations  and  employees  must

reconsider what it means to be creative. Each employee in every department can advantage from

the influence to become more involved, creative, and to ultimately help drive business forward.

At the base level, organizations can make sure the workplace is about to encourage collaboration

and  innovative  thinking.  Here  are  four  other  ways  employers  can  encourage  creativity  among

employees:

1.  Free  up  time  and  mental  constraints  through  technology  and  automation

Employers  can

choose to give employees space and time so they can focus on higher-value work—like spending

time with customers to directly study about their pain points, perhaps through a design thinking

approach. When that happens, employees are no longer burdened by the basics of their job. They

are free to do more considerate work.
