Retrospective analysis of the dynamics of laboratory indicators of emergency conditions in patients with COVID-19

Alimova Umida Omonovna

Doctor of PhD, associate doctor Z.Ch.Kurbonova

Methods of functional and instrumental diagnostics (Clinical laboratory diagnostics)

Relevance

ØEven though it is well reported that COVID-19 is mainly presented as a respiratory tract infection, emerging records show that it should be referred as a systemic disease involving multiple systems namely cardiovascular system, respiratory system, gastrointestinal system, neurological system, haematopoietic and immune system (E. Driggin et al., 2020; M. N. Bangash, J. Patel, and D. Parekh, 2020; P. Mehta et al., 2020).

ØIn a retrospective cohort study of 191 Wuhan COVID-19 patients, subsequently deceased patients were more likely to have high serum LDH, procalcitonin, ferritin, and interleukin-6 (IL-6) levels (F. Zhou et al., 2020)

Purpose of the study

ØExamine laboratory criteria for COVID-19 emergencies.

Materials and methods

1. The object of the study will be the history of patients with COVID-19 treated in the departments of the Tashkent Medical Academy.

2. Methods:

а) blood chemistry (GPT, GOT, bilirubins, urea, creatinine, crude protein or total protein));

b) identification of biochemical criteria for emergency conditions in COVID-19 (C-reactive protein, ferritin, procalcitonin, d-dimer)

Objectives of the study

1. To study biochemical changes in COVID-19;

2. To assess the diagnostic significance of biochemical parameters in COVID-19;

3. Develop biochemical criteria for emergency conditions in COVID-19;

Scientific novelty

• 1. For the first time, results reflecting biochemical changes in COVID-19 will be obtained;

• 2. For the first time, new scientific data will be obtained on the informativeness of the results of biochemical changes in COVID-19

Practical significance of the work

ØThe obtained clinical and laboratory data will be used for timely diagnosis of COVID-19;

ØBased on the obtained data, articles and abstracts will be published.
