which had been preserved so far. Even though he was originally from Azerbaijan he 
did not use his mother tongue in many cases. But he began writing poetry in Persian 
influenced by the fact that two main languages Persian and Arabian ones had been 
considered as main factors to spread information in eastern countries. 
As aforementioned, his written job has become famous and significant so far 
because of the influence of Persian language. One of his notable works is Khamsa or 
Panj Ganj (Five Treasure) which contains five long narrative poems, including 
Makhzan-ol-Asrar ( The Treasure or Storehouse of Mysteries), Khosrow and Shirin 
(Khosrow and Shirin), Leyli and Majnun ( Layla and Majnun), Eskandar- Nameh 
(The book of Alexander) and Haft Peykar ( The Seven Beauties)

The first one of the five poems mentioned above is the Makhzan-ol-Asrar 
(The Treasure or Storehouse of Mysteries) which is claimed to have been written 
between 1174 and 1175

. This long narrative poem is still considered as one of the 
prominent examples of didactic literature and the most essential poetic and written 
works in Persian literature. Makhzan-ol-Asrar was dedicated to Fakr al-Din 
Bahramshah, the governor of Erzincan at the time. And the main plot of it was meant 
to encourage individuals to self –knowledge, theology as well as opting proper habits 
and performance. The concepts can be enigmatic to understand thoroughly because 
the poet expressed them in the form of lyrical stories and literature. Makhzan-ol-
Asrar consists 60 sections, the 15

The heart knows your destiny, get to know the heart 
The empyrean riders who released from the body
The Gabriel super wing which they have gained from the heart 
And the one who liberated from the two worlds 
He has taken his ability from the companionship of the heart 
Moving onto the next poem Khosrow and Shirin, completed in 1180, tells 
about a pure love of the Sasanian king Khosrow II for the Armenian princess Shirin 
known as queen later. The real story goes like that Khosrow falls in love with Shirin
