Site Accessories
Sketch3D offers well-made site furnishings and structure components including rocks, 
boulders, pools, trellises, pergolas with well-articulated vines, fire pits, patio furnishings, 
and more (Fig. 13.29).
Windows and Doors
Sketch3D offers door and window components. Although 3D Warehouse has such models, 
they are usually poorly constructed. The Sketch3D versions are ideal for architecture models. 
The collection is growing and is one of the most unique online architectural component 
collections available for SketchUp (Fig. 13.30). 
people Components and rendering
Adding people components will help bring your rendering to life. People provide scale, activity, 
and context. People components can be included in a model and rendered with the scene. 
Types of People
There are several categories of people components: two-dimensional photoreal, two-
dimensional non-photoreal (NPR), and three-dimensional people. 2D photoreal people are

ideal for rendering but are not available in large quantities. 2D NPR and 3D people can be 
useful for rendering as described here (Fig. 13.31, Fig. 13.32, Fig. 13.33). 
2D people, like 2D trees and shrubs, are called FaceMe components. Each component is a 
single vertical surface, typically a photograph or image of the object. When orbiting and pan-
ning in SketchUp, the component will always face the camera—i.e., will always “face me.”
PR 2D People Components
Using the search term “PR People” or “Fotofigure” in FormFonts will bring up 50 results of 2D 
Face Me photographic people. Using these components is strongly recommended because their 
implied realism makes them render well. 
The quantity and type of PR 2D people is limited. All available PR people are walking or 
standing, but not sitting. Use 3D people and Arc Vision RPC people (Google search ArcVi-
sion RPC for more information) in tandem with PR 2D people to fill in scenes with sitting 
people.
