The topicality of the project work is defined by concrete results of the investigation. Special emphasis is laid on various types of rendering the features and the peculiarities of motivating young readers in ESP classes and the approaches of the lesson designing for language teachers.

The aim of the work is to investigate the main principles and ways of Motivating Young Readers in ESP classes.

In order to achieve the main aim of the work we should fulfill the following tasks:

  • To define the term motivation and its main types;

  • To analyze the strategies of motivating readers in ESP classes;

  • To differentiate the types of motivation and their features in improving reading skills of ESP students;

  • To show the role of motivation in reading texts;

  • To analyze the main methods and techniques in motivating young readers in ESP classes;

  • To show the ways of implementing the reading activities in ESP classes;

The object of the project work is the motivation of young readers in ESP classes which is the very actual and disputable question of modern teaching foreign language.


The novelty of the work is that the thorough analysis of motivating young readers in ESP classes as a tool of designing the lesson course for language teachers which have not been researched deeply yet in our education system. We have analyzed the main methods and techniques of motivating young readers in ESP classes for the first time.
The theoretical importance of the work. The work, theoretically, is an attempt to open real features of Motivating Young Readers in ESP classes. In the field of methodology it can be very developed in making or implementing theories on teaching and learning foreign languages. It may, with pleasure, be used for manuals, course-books, text-books, etc.
The practical importance of the work. Taking into consideration the value of the work it can be used multilaterally, i.e. in practical methodological courses and reading course. Practically, it can be useful for developing independent study skill of the learners in reading and critical thinking.
