Reading log 1
Reading has become a part of my life. One of the main reasons of why I am learning English is that I want to read books in their original language. Because when they are translated into other languages, the concept that the author wanted to show to readers will be slightly changed. This mere change, in fact, has a tremendous effect on how a reader will interpret the whole book.
English literature, both classic and modern, has charmed me long ago. Because there are so many outstanding books, bestsellers like The Frankenstein, The Great Gatsby, Pride and Prejudice, Sherlock Holmes series, The Old Man and The Sea, The Fault in Our Stars and so on. Now when I can read my favorite books in their own language, I cannot stop reading. I spend hours on reading, which can sometimes be my weak point. If the book is interesting, I cannot do my homework before finishing it.
However, there are some genres that I dislike. They are poetry and drama. The former has always been beyond my understanding, and still is. As about the latter, I would prefer watching the act rather than reading it.
