RE: CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS UNDER THE

PROVISIONS OF THE ACT OF THE PENNSYLVANIA

LEGISLATURE 1961, JUNE 13, P.L. 282 (53

SECTION 8004) AND BETHLEHEM ORDINANCE NO.

3952 AS AMENDED.

WHEREAS, it is proposed to install window cling signage at 202 W 4th Street.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bethlehem that a Certificate of Appropriateness is hereby granted for the work.

CASE # 606– It is proposed install window cling signage at 202 W 4th Street

OWNER/APPLICANT: South River Investments / Barreform

The Commission upon motion by Mr. Cornish seconded by Mr. Lousch adopted the proposal that City Council issue a Certificate of Appropriateness for the proposed work described herein:

1. 
   The proposal to install window cling signage at 202 W 4th Street was represented by Jim Vozar.
   
2. 
   The company logo will be on Brodhead and 4^th Street display windows as shown in the rendering submitted at the meeting. The logo will have frosted bands with green “piping”, three green letters, and the other letters cut out of the frosted bands.
   
3. 
   The front canopy will be removed.
   
4. 
   The transom area above the door, revealed when the canopy removed, will be infilled with MDO due to the low ceiling within the tenant space. New signage will be installed on the MDO panel in the transom. The Historic Officer will be consulted on the MDO infill and signage design.
   

5. 
   The motion to approve the proposal was unanimously approved.
