What effect does PBL have?

As you have already understood, project work allows students to cover a lot of material, knowledge that they would not have received if they had not taken up the development of their case. Thus, we have identified the following skills that students acquire when working using the PBL method:

- Teamwork. A very important skill, both in school and at work

- Communication skills. Students work together, so it is very important to develop effective communication in a team

-Vocabulary. If the work was conducted in English and the final part of the project-a presentation, film or report-was also in English, then students have time to significantly expand their vocabulary during the work, and the words learned during close work with the task are absorbed better than the usual learning of words

- Focus on results. Many fresh graduates find it difficult to adapt to their working conditions, as deadlines are very strictly taken into account during their work. Students who pay very much attention to processes may experience stress, excitement, and a sense of haste, which in the end the process itself and the quality of work suffers, and the work is not completed on time. According to the PBL method, the work is strictly limited in time, and the evaluation of the work is taken into account by the team score. Therefore, even while working on a project, students get used to strict deadlines and do not get stuck on some working moments, but focus on the result without compromising the quality of the work performed.

- Ability to distribute tasks, delegate and trust, leadership qualities. Depending on the project, it is necessary to correctly distribute the nature of tasks among team members, since everyone has different strengths and weaknesses, types of intelligence, motivation and temperament. Someone is better to entrust the work on numbers, on details, someone is very creative, but not constant, someone can do several tasks, but has difficulty concentrating on one task. Team members learn to distribute roles among themselves, to trust, as it is impossible to control everything to the smallest detail. Of course, in each team, a leader is identified, on which much also depends

- Responsibility. Since each team member has their own area of responsibility, failure to perform their duties can adversely affect the entire team's work. Since the evaluation will be a team effort, it is in everyone's best interest to do their part well. It instills a sense of responsibility
