Delta Robots 
Delta robots are sometimes referred to as parallel-link robots. They are made 
up of parallel joint connections that are coupled to a common base. Delta robots are 
particularly helpful for activities requiring direct control and great maneuverability 
(such as fast pick-and-place jobs). [5] Delta robots cleverly use the mechanical 
advantage of four-bar linkage systems. Advantages: Extremely fast speeds are 
possible. High operational precision. Disadvantages: Complicated operation 
necessitates the use of a specialist robot controller.

SCARA robots 
SCARA is an acronym that stands for Selective Compliance Assembly Robot 
Arm. These robots are made up of two parallel joints that move in a single plane. 
The rotating shafts are vertically positioned, while the end effector travels 
horizontally. [6] SCARA robots are suitable for assembly applications because they 
excel at activities that demand accurate lateral motions. SCARA robots are well-
suited to pick-and-place or assembly activities requiring great speed and accuracy.

SCARA robots move faster and integrate more readily into existing 
infrastructure than cylindrical and cartesian robots. [7] High speed, good 
reproducibility, and a big workspace are all advantages. Disadvantages: Requires a 
specialized robot controller, is confined to flat surfaces, and is difficult to program 
offline.

Articulated robots 
The most prevalent form of industrial robot is an articulated robot. They have 
a mechanical design that mimics a human arm. [8] The arm has a wide range of 
motion due to the usage of articulated joints with numerous degrees of freedom. The 
most popular type of robot is an articulated robot with six degrees of freedom. Other 
kinds may only have four or fewer degrees of freedom. Advantages: High speed and 
a broad work envelope for a little amount of floor area. It is simple to align with 
numerous planes. Disadvantages include the need for a separate robot controller, 
difficult programming, and complex kinematics.

Polar robots 
Polar robots are the robot world's veterans. They were among the first sorts of 
robots produced and are still widely used today. The robot's axes are joined to 
produce a polar coordinate system, allowing the robot to have a spherical work 
envelope. [9] Polar robots are frequently employed in die casting, injection molding, 
welding, and material handling applications. Benefits: 360-degree range of motion.
