10. INTERVIEW (Quoted/Reported speech)

Procedure:
1.
Review quoted speech, making sure students understand how
quoted speech is represented in English for statements, questions,
and commands. Divide the students into pairs.
2.
The partners use the worksheet to collect samples of quoted
speech from each other. Then they rewrite their partner’s quoted
speech as reported speech.
NOTE:
You can wait until you have covered all the relevant reported
speech structures in the book before you assign this task, or you can
have the students do each section as they learn it.
