5. Hampton Court Palace


Hampton Court Palace is a royal palace, located in London in the county of Richmond upon Thames. But the British royal family does not live in it since the 18th century. The original palace was built around 1514 for Cardinal Wolsey, the favorite of King Henry VIII, and in 1529, when Wolsey fell into disgrace, the palace was handed over to the king, who extended it. He is one of only two surviving palaces of the many owned by Henry VIII.
And in this castle inhabited by ghosts. They say that they saw Jane Seymour, third wife of Henry VIII. She gave birth to her only son to King Edward, but died shortly after birth, the king loved her very much and even be buried next to her.
