English Background:
I have chosen Dehqonov Abrorjon who is one of my group mates. My thoughts on my groupmate are as follows: In addition my groupmate Abror has been studying English grammar for 4 years and so he has almost no difficulty in solving English tests. He is very intelligent and curious his reading, listening and writing skills are very good. He is constantly improving his English. He listens to songs in English, watches movies, reads various articles. But even so, his ability to speak English is not so good. He understands English well but cannot respond quickly. I think the reason for this is poor communication. But he is a good language learner and he succeeds in this.
Interview script
I have interviewed him and give some questions. The questions are given below with his answers:
Me: Hi how’s going Abror ?
Abror: Hi I’m fine thanks, how about you?
Me: Thanks, I'm fine. I have a few questions for you. Let's start if you're ready
Abror: Ok I’m ready.
Me: The first question I ask you why are you interested in learning English, what is the reason for this.
Abror: The reason I am interested in English is that at school our English teacher spoke very well and I really liked this language, and our teacher told us a lot that learning many languages creates many opportunities in life for us. So I started learning English.
Me: What challenges did you face when you started learning English and how did you overcome them?
Abror: To be honest it was very difficult for me at first to understand English. The new word had new meaning and it hard to memorizing them. Later my teacher advised me to listen more to English movies and songs while memorizing words and this has been great benefit me.
Me: My last question is how long have you been learning English and what results have you achieved during that time.
Abror: I have been learning English almost 4 years. During this time I entered the University of World Languages and I increased mu vocabulary, improved English grammar and my speaking skills. But I will not limit myself to this and achieve even better results.
Analysis of speaking skills
I listened to him and checked his speech. He understands English very well and speaks grammatically, but he finds difficult to respond quickly. His English thinking is also short and I think he should practice a lot.
Analysis of writing skills.
I have checked her three entries. So, he used writing conventions properly like error-free punctuation ,good spelling and synonym words. Additionally, he could revealed the essence of the language. Moreover, he could make use structures clearly and logically within the context, but he did not support enough details to his ideas .To sum up, he should persistently practice and try to give examples sufficiently.
Results of classroom observation
I have been studying with Abror for almost 2 years. During this time, my impressions of him are enormous. He is one of the most exemplary and diligent students in the course. He is curious and, most importantly, he is not afraid to make mistakes when speaking English, and if he makes a mistake, he corrects it immediately. He can independently perform control tasks in the course. He works hard on himself and encourages others to do the same.
Future Needs
In the course of my research I have come to the conclusion that Abror is indeed a very curious and diligent student, but that he still has to practice a great deal to improve his ability to speak English and he should be able to memorize many English words and communicate more and he will greatly need the following resources:
Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English" , " Macmillan Dictionary " and etc.
