Roundtable discussion is a method of 
teaching that is conducted among students 
and in small groups around the aulana table 
by expressing their opinions.

When using the "round table" method, tables 
and chairs should be arranged in a circle. 
This will help each student to establish an 
"eye contact" with each other. There are oral 
and written forms of roundtable discussions. 
In the oral roundtable, the teacher introduces 
the topic and asks students to give their 
feedback on the topic, and in a circle, each 
student presents their feedback orally. 
Everyone who listens to the speaker listens 
attentively, and if there is a need to discuss, 
all comments are discussed after they have 
been listened to. This helps students to think 
independently and develop a culture of 
speech. 
 
Stages of the "round table" 
method
: 
1. The topic of the lesson will be announced. 
2. The teacher introduces the students to the 
procedure. 
3. Schematic representation of the 
movement of envelopes along a circular 
table 
is given. 
4. To write one envelope and answers for 
each student, the number of students in the 
group will be distributed to each student, 
and the time allotted for each answer will be 
set. The student writes his or her name on 
the envelope and on the Answer Sheets. 
5. The student writes his / her question on 
the topic on the envelope and next to it 
to the reader. 
6. The student who receives the envelope 
writes the answer to the question on the 
envelope in one of the "Answer Sheets" and 
puts it in the envelope and passes it to the 
student next to him. 
7. The envelope rotates around the round 
table and returns to the student who wrote 
the question. This student evaluates the 
"Answer Sheets" in the envelope. 
8. All envelopes are collected and analyzed. 
With this method, students can express their 
knowledge on a given topic briefly and 
clearly.
