Rate integrity (parity):
Degree to which a hotel’s room rates are comparable regardless of the distribution
channel on which they are found. Sometimes called
rate parity or another term that implies rate consistency.
Distribution channel:
Source of potential room reservations. Sources include the hotel’s direct tele-
phone number, its franchisor-maintained Web site, its own Web site, all third-party Web sites advertis-
ing the hotel’s rates, the front desk (for walk-in guests), and the hotel’s sales department.
