served after the storm were brown-bag cold meals made from food items available at the
hotel. By the next day, hot meals were prepared on gas grills and served on paper plates.)
When asked (but only then), front desk staff told guests that they would be charged
only a “minimal” amount for their rooms. Staff suggested the charge would be about
$75 per day, which was substantially less then the daily rate of several hundred dollars in
effect before the storm.
