QUALITY PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS OF CRUDE ORE IN MODERN MINING
AND METALLURGICAL INDUSTRY

Abstract
. In the modern mining metallurgical industry, the analysis of the three largest 
manufacturing industries – mining, processing and metallurgy, the combined general technological 
chain, plays an important role. Searching optimal solutions to the problems of ensuring the quality of 
the crude ore is important in scientific-engineering, economic and environmental aspects and 
determine the prospects of the mining enterprise.

The extraction and benification of ore requires the most labor and funds, which accounts for 80% 
of the share of the metal cost. These costs are different for each enterprise and depend on several 
natural factors. The complexity of the structure of the orebody, the unevenness of the ore and 
enclosing rocks adversely affects the quality of the minerals, and as a result, the comparative costs 
spent for mining on the account of the final product are increased. 
At present, ensuring the quality of mining is one of the main tasks for the mining industry, which 
is a pressing problem for all mining enterprises. In the extraction of precious ore deposits tried to 
reduce the poor quality of ore by using an optimal extraction system. Alternatively, even with greater 
extraction of ore reserves with a high content of valuable component, the quality of ore can be ensured. 
Intensive extraction of ore reserves, which are valuable and have a high content of valuable 
component, leads to a sharp decrease in ore reserves, which are rich in valuable component in the 
general account. 
The decrease in the quality of the extracted ore has a negative effect on the indicators of processing 
and metallurgy. Analysis of literature on mining, processing and metallurgical enterprises shows that 
the cost of final product is highly dependent on the amount of valuable component contained in the 
ore(Figure 1). The high content of valuable component in ore ensures that the cost of the final product 
is low[1].
