Abstract. 
The article regards an important role of Samarkand as a center of 
development and supports one interreligious and intercultural dialogue and discussion 
in the Great Silk Road. Covering the entire Eurasian continent, served to bring together 
different peoples, to exchange ideas, languages and cultures. Samarkand has long 
attracted the attention of politicians, business people and travelers. The city occupied 
an advantageous geographical position on the Great Silk Road.

Introduction.
The Great Silk Road is a kind of phenomenon in the history of 
the development of mankind, its desire for unity and deception by cultural values, the 
conquest of living space and markets. This transcontinental trade route, the largest in 
human history, connected Europe and Asia and stretched from ancient Rome to the 
ancient capital of Japan, Nara. The Great Silk Road as an extensive international trade 
route that united a whole system of trade communications, actively functioning from 
the second half of the II nd century BC to the end of the XV th century AD, had a huge 
impact on the formation of the political, economic and cultural structure of many 
countries through which it passed. The Great Silk Road covered a vast historical and 
cultural space with the study of routes, where not only caravans moved, ideas, material 
and spiritual values formed civilizations. In different countries of history, its answers, 
the volume and nature of the transported goods of subjects and objects of relations have 
changed, but it’s role has always been clearly traced as a certain manifestation of the 
historical development of different peoples and counties.
