6.14 Election System
Here is a decided election system for your students' union. This system
will ensure that elections are fair, inclusive, and representative of the
student body.
Step 1: Nomination Process
1. Candidates interested in running for any of the seven positions must
submit a nomination form by a specified deadline.

2. Nomination forms must include the candidate's name, the position
they are running for, and a brief statement of their qualifications and
goals.
3. Candidates may only run for one position at a time.

The President and Vice-President cannot nominate themselves
anymore. Having served a year in SU, they join the SU Alumni, and
become advisors to newly elected President and Vice-President
respectively.

Five other SU Executives having served one year at SU, leave their
posts. Immediately, they have the right to nominate themselves to
Presidency and Vice-Presidency, but they cannot do that to SU
Executive roles, they must wait a year for the next election to come.
Step 2: Campaign Period
1. A campaign period of one to two weeks allows candidates to promote
their platforms, engage with students, and participate in debates or other
events.
2. Campaign rules should be established to ensure fair and respectful
competition, as well as to prevent excessive spending or negative
campaigning.
Step 3: Voting Process
1. Voting will be conducted in the official room of SU at university, with a
specified voting period (24-48 hours).
2. Students will be asked to fill the blank and vote for the best nominants
for each executive position. There will be open hours to vote
(9.30-18.00) where two invigilators will be checking the validity of the
voter and the blank paper.
