Summary:
Due
to globalization, states
have to transfer
a significant part of the authority to regulate
foreign economic activities formerly
carried out by the states, international organizations. Thus,
there is a growing number of organizations, known as international, large or specialized
competence, regional or global scale.
Historical research on the establishment of international governmental organizations allows us
to trace the entire path of a complex interaction between states. In considering the historical side, it
is possible to understand the
principles on which are based, and how to improve international
relations, and to aspire to humanity.
All the relationships that exist between states are governed by the states created by them
through international governmental organizations. These international governmental organizations
appeared at a certain stage of development of human society.
The most important factor contributing to the emergence and
evolution of international
governmental organizations, was the need for cooperation between national states and societies.
This need has received its implementation in the formation of intergovernmental organizations.
Common to all these so different in its essence and objectives of organizations is their character.
We can say that these days the activities of international governmental organizations is an
integral part of world politics. They are represented in the system of multilateral interactions,
negotiations, the global economic
and financial processes, mass protest movements, etc.
International governmental organizations play in this system independent role, make changes to it in
accordance with their own objectives, and contribute to the formation of transnational networks.
They create a new climate, a new atmosphere of
the international environment, more and more
intruding into areas that have traditionally been viewed as referring exclusively to the competence
of the state security, economic sanctions,
humanitarian intervention, peacekeeping, etc. The
growing influence of new actors in world politics creates a new situation in the international arena.
After analyzing the different aspects of international governmental organizations, we conclude
that the world needs improvement activities of intergovernmental organizations in contemporary
international relations. Also expedient dialogue and common understandings in matters of
international relations between the subjects of these relations, regardless of socio-economic system
of different states involved in international communication. The basis
of this approach is the
recognition of human values and the need to balance the interests and freedom of choice as the most
important conditions for the development of humanity in the modern era.
In the end, I would like to emphasize the following: need further study issues such as the
development of new ways of activities of international governmental organizations in international
relations, as well as issues related to the hypothetical global civil society, the formation of which is
associated with the activities of new actors in world politics and changing patterns functions of state
sovereignty. Last but not least important is the analysis of the deficit and the global political and
social control, which is expressed in the light of the dynamics of globalization processes and
activities of international organizations.
