of lime on slag recovery. 5, -10, 15% of calcined lime was added to the slag-coke mixture. For 
laboratory experiments, KFP slags and OP lime granulation slags were used. 
As shown in the results of laboratory experiments, the addition of lime practically does 
not affect the results of low-temperature reduction. 
Laboratory tests at temperatures above 1000 
0
C were not carried out since control tests 
showed that partial melting of slag occurs in this case. 
To determine the possible replacement of expensive imported coke fines with a local, 
reducing agent, mass testing was carried out using Angren coal as the reducing agent (Figure 1) 
[18].

Experiments have shown that Angren coal is equivalent to coke when the amount of 
active carbon is equal. 
Based on the results obtained, graphs of the main dependencies were built. Dependence 
of the reduction degree of iron oxide in slag on the duration of isothermal holding at reducing the 
agent flow rate of 25% is given in Figure 1. 
The dependence of metalized iron yield (% from the initial one) on the duration of 
isothermal holding at T = 900 
0
C, and 1000 
0
C is given in Figure 2.

The dependence of an exit of magnetic fraction (% of initial) at T=1273K and
