Research methods. 
The criterion for estimating reserves using the pressure drop method was 
the volume of initial reserves involved in drainage and how it changes during operation. 
As a result of considering the reasons for achieving certain values of η

, all the deposits under 
consideration were divided into four groups. 
- A, deposits with η

= 0.8-0.95; 
- B, deposits with η

= 0.7-0.8; 
- C, deposits with η

= 0.6-0.7; 
- D, deposits with η

= 0.5-0.6. 
For deposits of groups A and B, the value of the final gas recovery factor is reliably 
determined by the 10th year of development, when the drilling of the field is completed and the 
entire deposit is involved in drainage. 
For fields of group C, the final gas recovery is determined by 14-16 years of development. 
For fields of group D, the final gas recovery is not determined even by the end of field 
development. 
This situation with the determination of gas recovery is explained by the fact that for fields of
