GAS RECOVERY OF JURASSIC TERRIGENOUS RESERVOIRS OF THE 
SUDOCHIY TROUGH OF THE USTYURT OIL AND GAS REGION

Abstract.
 For the fields of Uzbekistan, gas deposits that are confined to terrigenous reservoirs and 
which are either completed or are at a late stage, the gas recovery factor varies from 0.5 to 1, with 
an average value of 0.64. 
Such a scatter of K

 values allows us to conclude that for individual deposits there is both 
underestimation and overestimation of gas reserves. 
Objectives and scientific novelty of the research. The amount of gas recovery of productive 
terrigenous reservoirs, developed in the natural (gas) mode, significantly depends on: the reliability 
of determining the initial reserves of hydrocarbons (HC); the efficiency of the selected development 
system, the lithological features of the reservoir structure, the homogeneity of the structure of the 
pore space of the reservoirs over the area of the reservoir and the section, the consistency of 
reservoir layers in terms of thickness and the homogeneity of their interlayers. According to these 
factors, an analysis was made of changes in the final gas recovery of deposits in the Sudochiy 
trough field. 
Research methods. The criterion for estimating reserves using the pressure drop method was 
the volume of initial reserves involved in drainage and how it changes during operation. 
As a result of considering the reasons for achieving certain values, the gas recovery of all the 
considered fields were divided into four groups: A, fields with η
g
 = 0.8 - 0.95; В, deposits with η
g
 = 
0.7- 0.8; C, deposits with η
g
 = 0.6 - 0.7; D, deposits with η
g
 = 0.5 - 0.6. 
Thus, the results of the performed studies show that the actually achieved and predicted gas 
recovery coefficients, in most cases, are close and can be used to predict the gas recovery 
coefficient of terrigenous reservoirs.
