Ricardo Britto is a PhD student of the Department of Software Engineering at
Blekinge Institute of Technology, Sweden. He is also a lecturer of the Department of
Computing at Federal University of Piaui, Brazil. Britto received an MSc in Electrical

is a professor of software engineering and dean of the Faculty of Computing at Blekinge
Institute of Technology, Sweden. He has previously held professor chairs at the universities
in Lund and Linköping. Wohlin received a PhD in Communication Systems from Lund
University (SE) in 1991. His research interests include empirical research and software
process improvement. He has been Co-Editor-in-Chief and Editor-in-Chief of Information
and Software Technology for 15 years. Claes Wohlin was the recipient of Telenor’s Nordic

Research Prize in 2004. He is a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering

. Emilia Mendes is a professor in software engineering at Blekinge
Institute of Technology, Sweden, and also a Finnish distinguished professor at the
University of Oulu, Finland. She has previously been an associate professor at universities
in Auckland (NZ) and Zayed (UAE). Mendes received a PhD in Computer Science from the
University of Southampton (UK) in 1999. Her research interests include computer science,
empirical software engineering and web engineering. To date she has published over 200
refereed publications, which include three books. She worked in the ICT industry for ten
years as programmer, business analyst and project manager prior to moving to the UK in the
