Agility and technical exercises: (keepers working in 3’s) 
 
Double Save 
The G starts in position Ga by the cone facing S1. S1 serves the ball to 
G’s right, who makes a rocking motion save. G then gets up, gives the 
ball back to S1 and side steps to position Gb by the next cone facing S2. 
S2 then servers the ball again to the G’s right hand side. G then gets up,
gives ball back to S2 and jogs back to position Ga. 
You can have the keepers doing 2,4,6,8,10 repetitions. 
You can also have races with other groups to enhance enjoyment and 
pressure play. 
To progress, servers can throw knee, hip and shoulder height. Also 
servers are not trying to beat keepers but merely stretching them.

Side stepping right, left 
G advances to the cone, then sides steps to his right towards S1.
S1 shouts ‘Stop Set’ then serves the ball low to the G right. Then G 
makes the save, then gets up and immediately throws the ball back to S1. 
G then side steps left towards S2 and S2 shouts, ‘Stop Set’ then throws 
the ball to G’s left. 
G makes the save then gets up, gives the ball back to S2 and jogs back to 
starting position.
