AIMS AND TASKS OF THE RESEARCH
The given article investigates the importance of using role-play activities as a
classroom technique in the formation and development of students’ speaking skills at
Samarkand state institute of foreign languages. The present study analyses factors that
course problems in speaking and gives solution for them (being shy, language barrier,
afraid to speak, making mistakes and etc.). The tasks aimed at:

explaining the reasons of teaching speaking by the means of role-play activities;

selecting materials for role-play activities;
-
motivating students and encouraging them to speak;
-
giving teachers direction how to use role-plays in better circumstances.
