component of a response of the tourism industry to an extreme event?
7. What are travel advisories and who should be responsible for issuing them? What
are their effects?
8. To what extent are issues of public health important to tourists and tourism destina-
tions? How might tourists prepare to reduce their likelihood of experiencing ill
health while on holiday?
9. Review the Toronto case study and identify the individuals and organizations that
were affected and took action to address the consequences of SARS for tourism.
