2D Non-Photoreal
You can obtain 2D non-photoreal people from 3D Warehouse. Use the Paint Bucket Edit 
options to alter the color to either a solid black or white. Adjust the transparency to make 
them slightly see-through. While they do not aid in creating realism, they do have a good 
aesthetic quality that can help convey a sense of space and scale. 
3D People
You can download 3D people from FormFonts and 3D Warehouse. The options from FormFonts 
are the best available for SketchUp. 3D people are versatile, especially ones that convey specific 
positions such as being seated. They are well suited to work in tandem with FormFonts PR 
people. 3D people work well placed in the background or somewhat distant in the midground. 
They are distracting when placed in the foreground or closer to the camera view.
3D people don’t render well due to a lack of textures and the general difficulty of rendering 
people. If you have time, add fabric textures to clothing and provide render-texture values 
prior to rendering.
