The Center for International Rehabilitation is a not-
for-profit organization that develops technologies 
and programmes to help persons with disabilities 
worldwide reach their full potential. The CIR 
conducts fieldwork, research, training and education 
around the globe. Research by the CIR tries to find 
solutions to daily problems encountered by persons 
with disabilities in some of the poorest countries in 
the world.

DSI is active in Ghana, India, Kosovo, Malawi, Nepal,

Zimbabwe. The website contains information on 
disability in developing countries to support NGOs, 
governments and others working in the field. The site 
is a dynamic library to which the newest documents 
and information are added.

DCDD's mission is to improve the position of people 
with disabilities. DCDD takes the human rights 
perspective as its point of departure and works on 
these issues for people in developing countries and 
countries in Central and Eastern Europe. Means for 
DCDD are awareness raising and policy advocacy, 
primarily applied in the Netherlands and Europe.

Disability Awareness in Action is a collaborative 
project between different organizations such as 
Disabled Peoples’ International, IMPACT, Inclusion 
International and the World Federation of the Deaf. 
It was established to provide a network for the 
exchange of information and experience between 
people with disabilities and their representative 
organizations, to support the self-advocacy of people 
with disabilities and promote their human rights. 
DAA’s efforts are particularly focused on people in 
developing countries.
