The purpose of this research is the study and classification of the flora of mountain xerophytes in 
Central Dagestan from the point of view of ecology and biomorphology. The work was carried out based on 
field research expedition. Biomorphological
 
analysis of the flora is to establish his composing life forms of 
plants. Analysis of life forms is given according to the classification of K. Raunkier based on the adaptations 
of plants to endure inhospitable conditions. The distribution of species according to the classification Raun-
chier shows that in the flora of the mountain xerophytic vegetation is dominated by hemicryptophytes 
(52,5%). For a deeper understanding of the environmental conditions for the existence of cenoses is im-
portant to clarify the ecological structure of flora and we identified ecological groups in relation to the degree 
of humidity. According to the results of environmental analysis the predominance of xerophytes indicates a 
vegetation of drought-resistant nature that is typical for this region.
