The aim of research work
is identification peculiar features of the structural
plans carbonate and salt-anhydrite formations and their influence on placement of
deposits of oil and gas within a southeastern part of Bukhara-Khiva region for
building of reserves of hydrocarbons.
The object of the research work
is Jurassic carbonate and salt-anhydrite
formations of the southeastern part of the Bukhara-Khiva region.
Scientific novelty of the research work
is as follows:
the asymmetric ridges of the near-fault folds were identified in the carbonate
and lower part of the salt-anhydrite formations for a group of fields confined to
regional disjunctive faults of the north-east strike allowing to increase hydrocarbon
reserves;
the system of regional faults of the northeastern strike and the associated
structural plans of the carbonate and salt-anhydrite formations were supported
which allows to identify prospective targets for the discovery of tectonically
screened deposits;
industrial oil-bearing capacity of the oyster-ammonite horizon within the
southeastern part of the Bukhara-Khiva region has been proven, which allows to
increase oil reserves in the zone of development of depression deposits;
the allocation of prospective zones was justified on the basis of the developed
scheme for the distribution of gas, oil and gas, and oil deposits within the Jurassic
carbonate formation, which will make it possible to forecast hydrocarbon
accumulations according to their phase states.
Implementation of the research results.
Based on the results on the
structural plans of the carbonate and salt-anhydrite formations in the south-eastern
part of the Bukhara-Khiva region the following was performed:
Spotting of prospecting and exploration wells in the Ahirbulak, Chilkuvar,
Kirkkuloch fields was implemented at SC Uzgeoburneftgaz (Uzbekneftegaz
Reference No. 02-14 / 1-111 dated December 27, 2018). As a result, the regional
productivity of the Middle Upper Jurassic carbonate formation was confirmed, the
geological structure of the deposits was studied, the contours of productivity were
significantly expanded, and a significant increase in hydrocarbon reserves was
obtained;
Recommendation on the prediction of the type of hydrocarbon deposits by
geochemical indicators at the Chilkuvar field was implemented at SC
Uzgeoburneftgaz (Uzbekneftegaz Reference No. 02-14 / 1-111 dated December
27, 2018). As a result, the presence of oil accumulation in the XV horizon of the
Jurassic sediments was established;
Prospecting and detailed CDP 3D seismic survey within the northwestern
part of the Beshkent trough, eastern, and northeastern part of the Kultak uplift was
implemented by SC Uzgeoburneftgaz (JSC Uzbekneftegaz Reference No. 02-14 /
1-111 dated December 27, 2018). As a result, new oil and gas prospects were
identified.
