Invading turkistan by russian The border about three independence country In the 19 century there are three independence county in the Central Asia.They are Emirate of Bukhara, kokand khonate and Khiva Khonate. The border of emirate stretched from the left bank of Amu darya to the Syrdarya in the south,from the Pomir Mountains to the Khiva Khonate in the east. There were 27 principalities in the emirate. The population was around 2 million.the Kokand Khonate was bordered on the east by eastren turkistan, on the west by the Bukhara Khonate and Khiva khonate. The khiva khonate was bordered on the east by the emirate of bukhara, on the south by Iran , on the west by the caspian sea, and on the north by the kazakhs. About the stage of the invasion of central asia The conquest of central asia by russian empire took place in four stages. The first stage in 1847-1865 the Russian empire invaded the north- western regions of the kokand khanate and the city of toshkent. The turkistan region which is part of the orenburg govorner generel was established in occupied territories. The second stage covered the years 1865 1868 during which invasions were carried out against the kokand khonate and the emirate of bukhara. The third stage consisted of the conquest of khiva and kokand khonate during 1873 1879. the fourth stage was the conquest of turkmenin 1880 1879. In 1864,more than three thousand troops of Veryovkin and Cherniyaev set out two direction: one from the Perovsky fort(on the Orenburg side) and other from the city of Verny(Almaty) to occupy toshkent. On 4 june an army led by M Cherniyaev captured Avliyota(now Taroz) on the left bank of Talas River. In the automn of 1864 year Chimkent was conquired by Veryovkin. On 1 october 1864 year Cherniyaev began the first attack against Tashkent. Tashkent was occupied in 1865.
