Ultra-short pulsed lasers, like the one in 
picosecond regime have been widely 
adopted in various type of materials 
processing, 
including, 
micro-
texturing/patterning owing to their superior 
ability to form narrow heat affected zone as 
a result of extremely short laser-material 
interaction time. We suppose that micro-
drilled surface of aluminum is useful for 
design and application as solid-state matrix 
as support for of catalysts in future. In 
conclusion, the thin microholes template 
structure obtained on the aluminum foils 
processed by pulsed laser radiation has been 
studied and investigated in term of their 
morphology, structure.
The research is carried out in the framework of O.M. Tursunkulov’s Dr.Sci. thesis related to 
metal oxide based materials.
