Activity 3a Work in groups. Look and write about birds. 23 min 

Objectives: to read for detailed information; to develop the pupils' creative abilities; to prepare for the next activity. 

STEP 1: Prepare contour pictures of the following birds beforehand: penguin, ostrich, peacock, eagle, sparrow. 

STEP 2: Divide the class into five groups and allocate birds one for each group. Make sure that there is a pupil who is 

good at drawing in each group. STEP 3: Ask the pupils to open their Workbooks at Page 33 and find information about 

their bird in the table. After the pupils look through the information, explain that they must discuss and write a text about 

their bird like the one in Activity 2 on a sheet of paper. STEP 4: When the text is ready, the groups write their texts on flip 

chart paper stick and color the contour pictures you have given them.
