Research methodology. There are various scientific and theoretical approaches 
to  the  definition  of  the  concept  of  "disability"  in  modern  sociological  literature,  the 
study  and  analysis  of  the  problem  of  disability.  Scientists  have  also  done  a  lot  of 
research on the concept of "disability" and the problem of disability. In particular, in 
the  context  of  the  development  of  society,  theories  focused  on  the  social  aspects  of 
personality development analyze the problems of disability. There is a general situation 
that is unique to all sociological theories on the problem of disability: the recognition 
of disability as a social phenomenon that affects society. However, differences in the 
content  of  the  main  theoretical  and  methodological  constructions  underlying 
sociological  models  of  disability  lead  to  different  understandings  of  the  nature  of
