The aim of the lesson: 

Educational:- to learn to say numbers;- to learn to read, write and count from 1 to 20  

Developing: - to enable pupils to read, write and count from 1 to 20;- to enable pupils to 

ask and answer the question “how old is your sister/brother?” 

Sociolinguistic competence:- to raise awareness of how to say and write numbers 

Linguistic competence: At the end of the lesson pupils will be able to: - read, write and 

count from 1 to 20; - ask and answer the question “How old is your sister/ brother?” 

Equipments: textbooks, handouts, technical aids, a map of the world, a blackboard and 

a piece of chalk.
